1934 $500 arrived today. This one has what I believe is called a light green seal?? Because it isn’t in the greatest condition I might carry this one in my wallet for good luck
Nice wallet piece @HawaiiCurrencyCollector. I keep this trio of beaters in my wallet to show civilians.
That’s definitely a nice trio in your wallet! I’m on the hunt for a beater $1000 note to carry around, too. But even those are a little pricey.
Quite possibly my last purchase of the year. It’s been 20 years since the BEP printed $1 Minneapolis replacement notes.
Somewhat same. Got this back in change today. First time getting a star “in the wild” since I’ve started collecting.
This is my 2nd wild caught star. The first was a $1 FRN. My $10 pictured above is one of 128,000 printed. I'm liking that run #.
Bought a little something for Christmas and was hoping it would have arrived in time. Oh well, nothing wrong with opening a present the day after! anyone else treat themselves to a Christmas gift?
My son got me an uncut sheet of $2s for Xmas this year. I've never had an uncut sheet before. Wondering the best way to preserve/display it? I'm guessing it's not that rare...just would be nice to display. Just looking for ideas / comments.
Here's an 8-sheet for $39 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sheet-of-8...NUAAOSwTmxcdY2h:sc:USPSFirstClass!92129!US!-1 Considering the size (approx 13 x 11), I would get a larger-than normal picture frame and put it on the wall as a display piece/decoration
I recommend something inexpensive for a 8-subject, modern $2 sheet. You could easily spend more on the display than the sheet is worth.
It’s only $36 for this sheet direct from the source. https://catalog.usmint.gov/2-eight-note-sheet-B9490.html
A poster frame of that size should run you about 15-20 from Michaels or another arts store. So, about half of the value of the sheet. but it does look pretty cool!
Finally home to check the mail. Just another 1914 $5 FRN. The price was too good to pass up so I decided to “upgrade” my current grades of this note.
