Guess the Name

    The following bronze coin has 2 Emperors, one on each side. I assume Antoninus Pius is on reverse. The obverse has a bare head Emperor. The lettering is in Greek, suggesting it's a Roman provincial coin. It weighs 10.63 g. Please try to guess the Emperor's name Bare H o.JPG BarDiad R.JPG

    Excellent. The ancient city of Gadara is considered as one of the Decapolis(10cities) mentioned in the Holy Gospel. Thus the coin is considered as Biblical. The city of Gadara is currently named " Um Kays ". It lies south of Syria on the Jordanian borders. It's not very far from the capital Amman or even River Jordan.
