physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

As some of you may know, my grandpa is the person who got me started coin collecting. A few years ago, he passed away. He had sold most of his coins, but he kept a few of the old Whitman blue folders for Lincoln cents (he had three sets, I imagine he intended one for each of his kids). Well, they all got passed to me. I put them in a drawer and forgot about them - until today.

What I'd like to do is now give them to you. He inspired me to start collecting, and I hope that this will either inspire you, or you can gift it to someone to inspire them.

    I have 4 available:

    - 3 sets of Whitman albums (Vol One, Two, and Three) from 1909-1992 (these were old albums). Each album is partially filled in, obviously more recent dates are more complete. Nothing rare or high grade, just honest circulated Wheat and Memorial cents.
    - 1 pair of much older Whitman albums, (One Volume One, one with no dates), also partially filled

So, tell me how you would use one of these sets, or who you would give it to. I really want these to go to a good home! (if you are interested in more than one set, please let me know)

I would fill the empty holes and give them to my nephew who I've already tried to spark an interest in numismatics. Very nice thoughts from you for your grandfather.

I would give them to my son when he gets older but me and his grandfather have already gotten him coins and I will continue to so I’d like to see them go to someone more needy and deserving than me

I hope you find a YN for them, to help nurture their interest in collecting coins.

My brother has some interest in coin collecting. He has the state parks quarter book and keeps every wheat he finds. The hope would be that by give him a book that it would get him interested in trying to fill those holes.

Thumbs up @physics-fan3.14. I have seen partially filled Whitman’s spark some real interest in some youngsters over the course of my years. I hope your generosity does the same.

I'm going to bump this up, because I think there wasn't a whole lot of activity on Christmas.

Is anyone involved with a Boy Scout troop, or have any YN's in their local club that might want a set?

I would take any penny folder and fill it with my grandpa who also got me started coin collecting. Thank you for your generosity.
