    Mike:
Congratulations to you & your son, be glad that Von Klinger is on vacation or wherever he is.
If he had been there it would have been ignored.
Nice story, and the first in ages that was dedicated to the entire column!

Imagine being 9 years old and the discoverer of a RPM Barber Dime and getting "published" in a national coin magazine? Has Sam had anyone ask him for a signed copy of Coin World, with his coin's article in it? Kidding aside, that may be a way for him to make a few bucks for his hobby, autograph a copy and sell it on Ebay. :D Of course, you have to do it like the professional sports peeps do, have a picture of him signing the copy of Coin World, with the coin on the desk next to him, to be sold with the copy of Coin World he just signed.

I can only imagine what it's like at your house now! :thumb:

I told him he now has a problem: he has to go to coin conventions incognito or everyone will recognize him as the famous Sam Willner, Error Hunter!

Kidding aside, he was still grinning ear to ear at bed time, and challenged me to a 'grade off' first thing this evening after work (we each take 5 coins, grade them, swap coins, grade them, then compare assessments and decide who is more correct with the help of Photograde... he wins all the time!).

Thanks again to you all, as I would have not had any idea how to proceed if not for the input and suggestions provided here.

Congrats! How exciting to make a find like that. I can't wait for my next issue of CW to arrive so I can read the article.

Now he has to be more vigilant, in order to not become a "One Hit Wonder".

I'm in the same boat, somewhat, in that I found a 1800/1798 NC-6 and now I have to find another NC in order to keep up the facade that I can sniff out a NC a mile away. Since they are so rare, I know I'll be lucky to find another one but if I can find one, I know I can find another and once I find my second one, I'll be looking for number three. :kewl:

So you've got a YNCM on your hands now (young numismatist coin monster) and somehow you've got to help him to understand how hard it is to do what he's already done but that he can do it again if he works hard at it and doesn't give up! :thumb:

I know you have to be proud of him!

    Ribbit :)
