Today was a good coin day. Went down to my local coin shop to check out this weekends auction items when they told me that I won something on the bid board - check out the 32 Washington! Any guesses on the grade? I got it for a whooping $3.50! I paid with a five and got back $1.50. Check out one of the quarters I got back!!! I read about this coin in Coin World, but I didn't think I would ever find one in my change. Then when I got home I had a 1935 Texas comm and a 1967 copy of Don Taxay's An Illustrated History of US Commemorative Coinage waiting for me and an USPS notice that my BillZach coin came in. Not a bad day - ya think!

Nice find with the Oklahoma quarter. I'd like to find a nice Arizona error quarter.

Looks like a clash near the wing, but I am not sure where the error is.

Yep - nice find on the quarter. I would say XF, but I have not really tried grading washington quarters.

    Awesome day!

As far as the 32, quarters are NOT my area, but if I had to guess, I'd go with a VF grade.

Look at the second pic of the Oklahoma quarter. There is a die break on the front of the wing. It has been termed the "extra wing" die break. Coin World did a little bit about it back in March. You can find several auctions on ebay for this particular variety. Not in UNC condition, but a neat find nonetheless. I try to keep my eye out for different varieties on the State quarters series.

I guess "error" is not the correct wording and I should have worded it differently. Sorry.

Are those the only quarters with known errors? I sorted through a bunch of quarters to start my state collection and I only looked for errors on the Wisconsin. >_<

Nice die break find! As far as the 1932 Quarter. I'll guess some where between XF-45-AU-53, leaning toward the higher end. The reverse is nice.

Really good question! i am sure lots of other folks, as am i, would like to know :)

anyone got the low down on all these state quarter 'errors' or varieties? I know about the extra leaf, but not many of these others that were mentioned....

Harry, my guess for a grade as well. The assistant at my local coin shop had to do a double take because he couldn't believe the deal I got. I was guessing XF45. He agreed, but even suggested that it could be a low AU. There is still some nice luster to the coin. Looks like someone rubbed the bust of Washington clean, but still a nice coin for the price. My comments to the assistant was that people probably interpreted the weak strike for a low grade. Thanks for everyone's comments. Joe
