The coin is 13mm and I found it amongst a big pile of unidentified coins I have. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thank you
Well, there seem to be a few "Eastern" ancients in that pile. It's one of the nicer Kushan types: Vima Takto, Kushan Empire, AE tetradrachm, ca. 80–95 AD, Taxila mint? Obv: Radiate (nine rays) and diademed bust r., holding sceptre; to l., tamgha. Rev: BACIΛЄωN Cω[THP MЄΓA]C; crowned and diademed king on horseback r., raising r. hand and holding reins in l.; to r., tamgha. 20mm, 8.06g. Ref: Mitchiner 2941–2943.
There have been several of this type put forth for ID or otherwise shown on CT recently. Here's a thread about them courtesy of Curtis. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/th...-he-still-has-one-though.314789/#post-3054611
Thanks @Orielensis, that's it!! Yep, there's actually some cool big silver ones too that look to be around the same type, albeit larger and more silverer lol. Cool thread @TIF, @dougsmit has some really nice pieces there.
Do note that at 13mm yours is the smaller of the two denominations. Neither denomination is easy to find in high grade with full legends. They are not scarce coins and have a lot of minor variations for study by someone who wants a challenge.
