Thanks for the feedback, wasn't sure what would have caused it. The date is faintly visible under a light with a magnifier you can almost see it in the picture.
@paddyman98. Is this anything to do with a late stage capped die? I have had very little experience in that area. The reverse had a harshly done die polishing.
It would have to be a Struck with Early Stage Capped Die not a Late Stage. The later the stage the more design details show due to thinning of the capped coin. I think it was Struck with a Capped Die and not a Die Capped coin itself. I believe they are two different types of error coins. Someone Please correct me if I am wrong so the OP gets good information.
I whole heartedly agree with a Die cap strike through. A very nice Mint error. Nice that you can date it.
