Is it a 1936S Buffao nickel with some gunk on it? YES it is!

It looks like it fell into a pile of seagull doo-doo.

    Badly corroded? Yep.

An error? Not as far as anyone can tell, at this point.

Does not look like s/d variety, just a normal Buff. Not missing a leg or feather either. I see no doubling.

That actor was NOT an Indian. He was Italian.

So it doesn’t look like a 3 1/2 leg buff to you? Sure looks like the examples I found.

It is a deteriorated die that pushed part of the hoof and tail over the edge.

    3 1/2 legs, 1 1/2 hooves, and disembodied head.

It doesn't count if the leg is eaten away by corrosion, which is what appears to have happened on this coin.

Besides, it's the 1936-D nickel that has a 3 1/2 leg variety, not the 1936-S.
