My wife of 51 years says I am grounded from ebay for 30 days. I'm not scared of her but I sure as heck respect her a lot. Anyway, I digress. I picked this one up today from ebay. If you have ever seen my boring posts, you probably know I collect silver coins that don't cost an arm and a leg. Love the new silver proofs. Most all that I have are prf69 Dcam. This is my first Prf70 purchase. I like the bling of it being a reverse proof. Have a Blessed Christmas folks.
I don't care much for the State or State Park quarters, but you picked a great one. What beautiful design, especially in silver reverse proof!
Impressive looking coin. When I am going to buy a coin I clear it with my wife first. I don't recall ever getting a "NO", but there have been a number of delayed "YES's".
On some purchases I've had to spend time in a "Time Out Chair". You did well. I did not realize that some of the State Park quarters were done in Rev. Prf.
My ex was my checks and balances. I seem to get carried away these days with my spending since the threat of getting hit over the head with a frying pan no longer exists.
What an awesome post....couldn't stop laughing. Also, your approach reminds me of my father who got me into collecting coins. He got so much enjoyment from getting coins in change and also buying inexpensive coins from Littleton. I still have his diary's that tracked his purchases. (Think he kept it secret from my mother!!) I still have so many nickels he saved, lots of uncirc pennies from the 60-80's, dimes, and a hoard of Wheaties. Some of those Wheaties were good enough for my Dansco album, but others are now just in jars separated by decade. All are brown and most likely range from good to XF. Every time I look at them it reminds me of him. Maybe the real reason for collecting??
Great coin, Gunny... ...in my minds’ eye I see the Judge (wife) with a gavel slamming it down and shouting: “30 days in the slammer!” ...looks like it is worth it...(smile)...Spark
