    It is not an error coin. Since mid-1982, the Lincoln cent has been produced using 95% zinc with only an 8 micron thick coating of copper. It doesn't take much for the zinc to react to the elements and affect the copper coating. This is why I, endearingly, refer to them as Crappy Zincolns.

    No. Not an error coin. The only error is the mint switched to zincolns and have a number of years of poor quality minting and production supplies.

    There are literally billions of zincolns with blistered plating, etc. And these are the first to easily start rotting away (zinc rot). These problems on the coins are No Bueno!!!
