First is a 2008 P Alaska quarter is this one of the extra claw ones I can't find a picture of one so I'm not sure? Second is a 1985 P that I had asked about but no one had an answer so I thought I would try one more time. Running along the left wing is what I think is a die break any help on this would be appreciated.

The extra claw is very common. Your specimen may be an early die state.

Not much can be determined from your close-up of the eagle's wing because it is too close. How about backing off and showing us the whole coin.

How are these any better? The crack break whatever it is runs along the left wing below the word UNITED. IMG_20191221_100941959.jpg IMG_20191221_100948333.jpg

Technically speaking, it is the right wing (viewer's left). It's a very small break that can best be described like the edge of a steep river bank crumbling into the water. The wing, itself, represents the depths of the river, and the field adjacent to it represents the top of the bank.

Honestly, I really wish that die cracks and die breaks were not referred to as errors. This is also why you will rarely find a descriptive for your exact coin when you Google it. It has no name! It is simply the result of the constant pounding of the dies against the planchets, the result of which I consider PMC.....a "Poor Maintenance Coin".

Have you ever searched for a specific coin using the term "Post Mint Damage"? A lot of good it does. There are millions of them!

By the way, thanks for posting these additional photos. Do you see how much easier it is to view it?

Yes to the die break on the wing. I'm not sure if your Quarter is the extra claw or a die chip. It's just too worn.
