Hello Leo - when taking photos and posting them for comment, you'll need to take 'optimal' photos. When taking photos of a specimen, you'll want to take advantage of the optimal focal length of your phone's camera. Each phone is different, so find the distance where your object is in focus and fills the viewing screen on your phone. Find a heavy object (glass, can, anything really) that you can place your phone on that sets it at the optimal focal length. This will steady your shots. When zooming in on an area, you may find that you need to change the focal length again. Stay sensitive to focus. Also, lighting is important. Flood diffused light over the specimen from 2 or 3 directions. This will reduce glare and shadows. And use a proper backing. Too often folks take pictures of their coins with multicolored backgrounds which confuses the camera...and the eye. Flat backing is desirable.

does your coin look anything like the example I have above in TOTALITY ??
and not one part "kinda looks like it" .. it has to look exactly alike.

    Thank you for the reply.
I’ve looked at a lot of the pics online, such as the one above....for some odd reason I thought the poor condition of mine....made it unlike any comparables I could find...so I’d thought I’d join here and get some opinions

I just realized yours is not the 1969 S DDO .. i have to compare it to the 1969 D (Denver mint) .... oops ..be right back ..

but truthfully you need a better image. It gets too pixelated to take a close look at it. When one relies upon digital zoom it starts making things that aren't there as software will fill in spots with what it thinks it could be. So a nice clear and infocus zoomed in picture is needed.

Your coin has a D on it. That means it’s from the Dallas Mint. You need an S for the Seattle Mint. :)

Seattle? I do not believe there is a US mint in Seattle. Did you mean San Francisco?
