Might have found first error coin.....low hopes

    1982 then 1980. 80’ is the one I think I got it. Just learning errors been collecting for a good bit though. So any help I would appreciate.

    Exactly what are you seeing and where on the coin?

    I thought just on the zero in the date. Maybe the angel but it looked lopsided

    Also the b is messed up but that could be damage.

    Welcome to CT!!

    If you look at both of the coins you posted you can see the obverse on both is slightly off center. This is evident by looking at the rim. See how it is thicker on one side? This is called a MAD or Misaligned Die error. It is actually very common on Lincoln Cents and doesn't command a premium if sold as it does not affect the devices. But hey you did find your first error, just not the one you were thinking.;)

    Thanks man, that is the first time someone has broke it down like that since doing this. Very helpful and still going to keep looking through everything I have.

    I was trying to find an actual angel.. Then I realized that maybe you meant angle? o_O
