Doug is right about this one!

I think PCGS graded this at 64RB

 

Taken into consideration the photo is taken thru a slab, I'll go for a 66 RB, there is lots of red on that coin. Beautiful coin, very nice coloration.

There were things in the pictures that I did not see before, and the spots are not evident in hand near as bad.

I have learned on this, as was my intention, and from all of your posts as well.

The big thing IMO keeping it from the 65 I sought was the dig on Lincoln near the date. I missed it in haste to submit when going thru a roll of these, I have plenty more and will try to spot better ones.

See how hard it is to grade even from excellent pics?

Man, still a beautiful example IMHO, and that color is what really makes it. I think it's a okay coin. :thumb:

awww I was close I would have said MS-63RD. I think the strike looks a little bit weak but its a really nice coin!

 

the fact is... you just don't get much past Doug's eyes that he misses. I think sometimes he sees stuff (that's there) that graders don't. Good call Doug!!
