Then it must be the number of coins I submitted. They received my submission on 11/29/2019 and show my coins' expected ship date of 1/3/2020. Here's what they had to say when I questioned, "Why so long?"
What is the normal turnaround rate at Anacs? In the past, a 30 day turnaround at PCGS would have been considered fast.
My last order with ANACS, for about a dozen and a half coins, was opened by them on 10/28/2019 and shipped out on 11/18/2019, or about 3 weeks.
I should have specified. I'm talking their equivalent of Regular or Economy. I've had both at PCGS take anywhere from 6-8 weeks. The last year it has gotten better, but now where it used to take 1 day to have a packaged logged into the system after being received it takes a week to 10 days before the turnaround countdown begins.
There's definitely a major backup in receiving, as of last week NGC was about a week behind their normal times for that as well. They have a 1,2,5 and the 15 day tier would be their version of regular. The economy tier generally takes about the same time as the specials at a month or more or it has for me at least when I've used it. Sometimes an easy submission will be a little quicker.
Just wait until next month when all the Monster boxes of ASE's start arriving. If you are smart you don't submit in January, unless you don't mind a LONG wait. And most people here do mind.
