    This is NOT new.
NGC is just returning to something that they should never have stopped.

I had 10-12 NGC Registry Sets listed at that time.
When they stopped scoring newly listed PCGS coins I deleted all of my sets.

There’s already another thread on this. And you shouldn’t have deleted any of your sets. Existing PCGS coin were not removed. So not really a big deal.

Time to put them back up?

    Thinking about it.
My 1793-1964 type set was about fifteenth in rank when I yanked it.
And it's been improved since then.

I may select a smaller set for a test run.
Maybe my Classic Head half cents.

One thing for sure, I've got plenty of time to play around (I'm retired).
Hard part will be taking pictures.
Some coins haven't been imaged and others were poorly done.

    Yeah, those half cents!
Share a link to it here at CT if/when you do.

Yea I left all my sets as they were so any pcgs coins I had still remained in my sets.

    Good going.

My problem was that some of my sets were still a work in progress.
Therefore any PCGS coins I added would show up as part of the set but would not get any points.

    Oh, goodie.
I thought it was difficult putting sets into the registry back when.
    Now I think it's worse.

If you can't guess, I'm having trouble.

read the NGC forums, any questions you may have might be answered there as others are having the same trouble as you are.

Use the NGC app to scan your coins. It walks you through the process of adding it to your collection and to any applicable sets.

Make sure you try to add coins via the Member Portal, not the old link for the Collection Manager. Their updated interface is a nice improvement.

I can only get coin images from my scanner.
    I ain't got no app.

But images are not my problem.
I got one Competitive Set loaded except I have to wait for the PCGS coins to be confirmed.

So I started working on a Custom Set.
Put one item in to see if I got it right.
    Can't tell since I can't find it.
That means it either didn't work OR it still has me baffled.
For the moment I'm siding with "baffled".

Custom sets still use their old system. The easiest way is to register all your coins first. Then use the wizard to create a new custom set using the coins you want to be in it. Then create any empty slots and fix any sequence issues.

The registry will now automatically load the cert verification images, if they exist. You don't need to worry about basic pics, unless the coin is old enough that it doesn't have cert verification, it's a PCGS coin, or you want something nicer.

I left my old sets up. They were mostly complete and I put FAR too much work into them to delete them. YES, it was frustrating, at times, but I'm glad that I did. I hoped that this day would come and now it has.
