2019 Numismatic Retrospective

Thanks - I started to collect the Eraviscans as my girlfriend is from Budapest and they are closely related to the Republican coins. I've got five or six of them - the one above came from a dealer in Hungary, a couple of the others were published in Essays Hersh by Freeman and one was pointed out to me on eBay by @red_spork in the summer.

I didn't realise until I counted the other day that ~85% of what I ended up this year was RR, so had to throw in a couple of different things.

Thanks, Q - it's interesting how many people like the Memmius - I actually prefer the Roscia myself, even if the girl's head is missing on the reverse.

The Memmius came from an NAC sale in May and the previous lot to this was the same type in FDC condition and went for nearly 8X as much as this - I baulked at the opening bid for that, let alone what it ended up at, so am surprised I got this - which is a lovely coin too, well above my usual standards
