Reverse clad layer missing, coin weight 4.7 grams.errors on front also , this coin came in a roll straight from the mint and is uncirculated, just wondering what this is worth?
Welcome to coin talk. You will probably get more replies if you post this on the Error coins forum. I'm not a expert on errors but the following members are: @FredWeinberg; @paddyman98; @JCro57; @desertgem; @Paddy54; and many more.
How come we have to look at your coin sideways? Please crop and orient future coins properly next time like I did for you below. It makes it easier for everyone to see the coin. BTW looks like you have a winner! Let’s see what others think.
True. But they are not interested in knowing if it is a mint error or not.. Making money is more important In this case.. He hit the jackpot
First, welcome to the neighborhood! Just out of curiosity, when was that Mint roll opened? The reason I ask is because the side missing the clad layer appears to have discolored somewhat from exposure to the environment. Chris
Thank u all for welcoming me,i opened the two rolls I had in plastic tubes and immediately put it in 2x2 it has never been exposed to be environmentally damaged, there is multiple errors on front with faded letters and back letters NE, with some kind of smudge where it says chimney rock. And thank u for turning my pictures the right way after 20 minutes of trying to figure it out I gave up
Just google coin forum and you’ll find 3 or 4 more forums you can post you coin to but Coin Talk is the best on the web. You can throw it on eBay for a starting price of $80.00 like paddyman said. It will probably go for more if you wanted to sell it. People on eBay can be stupid crazy sometimes. Don’t forget to copy the pictures I straightened out to use them where ever you might post it from here on forward. Hope this helps. Reed.
