Judith
1908 Newfoundland 5¢ G-4 2.00 VG-8 4.00 F-12 8.00 VF-20 20.00 EF-40 50.00 AU-50 175.00 Prices are in Canadian $. Bill
Those two other pieces would be from The Netherlands. Common pieces, often brought back by returning (Canadian) soldiers who were there during the liberation. I believe both are .640 silver
sorry to sound so out of touch but how do i actually determine the exact value re what you have given me there ?? thanks ..Jude
The prices I have given are based on the grade of the coin. The best way for us to help you with that is for you to post a picture. If you can't do that I will try and give you some descriptions of what to look for. Bill
Sorry but i am unable to put a pic up of the coins or coins ..however the 5 cent NF coin is in very good shape .. very clear and hardly not worn at all .. thanks a million for your help .. what about the other coins .. ?? actually Bill the Netherland coinsthey are unusual as what has been done to them is the Netherland coins have been joined or soldered onto each other??
I can't help with the Netherland coins but I can tell you how to approximate the grade on the Newfoundland coin.If the band on the king's crown is clear and not worn through at all it is an EF. If the frame on top of the crown is clear with all the beads showing and if the king's ear is very clear then it is AU.These are just general comments but should give you an idea. Bill
