1962 D Nickel odd MM

    Called a Die Chip. Happens when the Die gets worn.

    It looks a little like burnished material overlapping part of the MM, perhaps from a hit. Or a slight lamination error. Maybe a bit of the same on the 1 in the date.

    I appreciate it. If you look at the third pic, You can see the anomaly the best. Or the peeling for lack of a better word.

    That's why I was leaning towards a minor lamination issue. But a burnished mm can appear as a lamination error. I'm not sure from the photos, but leaning towards minor lamination error.
