While all are excellent, the Lokri Opuntii stands out in my mind. It defines 'fine style'.

Congratulations on some exceptionally beautiful coins! I'm curious as to your replaced Ptolemy Soter tetradrachm: did you upgrade it or just feel you no longer required the type? Unless there are problems not visible in the image, it looks like a very nice example.

I'm truly hard pressed to pick a favorite. The derrick, the Nero, the Domitian golds are beautiful, but the Augustus and Domitian denarii and the Ptolemy I tet are nothing to sneeze at. I'll take one of each please.

I took this as showing the coin that replaced the previous lesser example of the same coin. That is why I suggested we get to see the previous one for comparison.

Usually the replaced coins are
    1. The same coin or a fairly close variety that is in an inferior grade. This would include the Aspendos Hieronymos, Brutus, Lysimachos Ptolemy I Augustus and Severus
    2. A coin of the same denomination and emperor but of a different type The Vespasian and Domitian
    3. A somewhat different coin but of the same time frame. The Antonia replaced an Augustus dupondius

Stunning coins with excellent details, where the remarkable artistic skill of the ancient masters is shown.

Terence, all these coins are spectacular :jawdrop:! I think for sheer artistic achievement #10, 4, & 7 are the best. If I had a chance to grab one of these coins while no one was looking it would be #1 :shifty:. The age, size, weight, condition, & quality of die cutting on this huge piece of silver are breathtaking .

Thank you, that explains a lot. My mind never grasped the possibility that Antonia would replace an Augustus in a collection.

What a great collecting year you’ve had, @Terence Cheesman. Every coin on the list is a dream. The obverse of that Metapontion stater is exquisite, and the Ptolemy I - jawdropping on both sides!

Most of the words that come to mind have already been shared : wow, stunning, impressive, speechless. The Antonia Dupondius RIC 92, Alexander I Ar Oktadrachm and Aspendos AR Stater are amazing, if I scroll through again I'd pick three others. Best wishes for 2020.

Wow! These are all spectacular. If I had to choose, I think the Nero Aureus and Lokri stater are my two favorites, but all of these are special.
