Wow, found my 2nd war nickel at work today! a 1943-P - and in better condition than the last one. Link to last one i also found a 1957 wheat cent (philly) I'll get some pictures up later tonight or tomorrow.
That's great and shows there are a few coins left out there in circulation. Yesterday at work was a good day for me also, not only did I find 8 wheats, the oldest a 1919, but I found a 1941 mercury dime. That was the first merc I have ever pulled from circulation. I hope our finds keep up.
I think it shows that people are spending their hidden treasures that have been stashed away in the drawers because they are broke.
Sometimes it's because someone got their collection stolen and the thieves didn't know the value of what they had. They juss spent it in their regular spending.
OK, here's the side-by-side. The newest one, the 43-P is on the left. This also shows how worn the 42-s was!
Jefferson Nickels are one of the only series of coins you can complete simply by checking your pocket change. Congrats!
