Nice looking Proof. Not worth grading if it has been in circulation.
    Cool find.

Thanks. It came out of a roll of nickles. The gentlmen at the store had no more nickles. So he opened up a roll, and there it was.

Looks like it might be "FS Full Steps".

    Most proofs are FS.

Proof nickels are supposed to be Full Steps. This is an "Impaired Proof" because it has seen some circulation.

To me, Any nickel that has seen circulation is rare to have the FS designation!

Nice find (I agree with the impaired proof possibility). As a general rule, very little of what you'll find through CRH or pocket change will merit professional grading/slabbing. There are many members here who regularly CRH in the thousands/tens-of-thousands of dollars worth of coinage and find next to nothing worth grading/slabbing. That's not to say that you won't find a grade worthy/slab worthy coin. It just means that in the tens-of-thousands of coins you check, almost none of them will merit consideration. Invest in 2x2 flips and some Airtites for the very best of your finds. Better money spent for the most part.

Post it for a diagnostic. Many dateless Buffalo can be dated.

Before you do anything check out the crack up top, could be a weak crack or something so that may bring you a little more value. In short investigate your coin thoroughly before you do anything with it.

That's not a die crack at the top of the obverse of the '59Proof Nickel.

looks mechanically cleaned almost considering it took a ride in a roll and cash register/hands etc... Dremmel metal brush. Nice find for sure!
