Everyone here knows to be nice to the bank tellers. And today is proof of it. I was at my usual branch, making my usual weekly check deposit. One of my regular tellers says he has something for me. (note: he knows I like the fun stuff) He proceeds to pull 20 Ikes from his drawer, claims he's been saving them for me. Wonderful! Then he pulls out $9 in halfs (5x40%). Awesome! Joking around I asked where it came from and if the customer dropped of anything else fun. Then he pulls out a paper nickel, and offers it to me. All he said is that someone brought it in. I've been using this branch for about 3 years, and he's been there the whole time. The relationship has always been professional and friendly. And I'm very appreciative (Mods: Please feel free to move post if you think it belongs in a different sub-forum)
This is awesome! It's good to make friends with your bank tellers. I wish I had the time to do this with local banks. Edit: I recommend bringing in some edibles as a thank you. Most tellers are not allowed to receive gifts of monetary value, but usually are allowed to eat gifts brought in. Maybe check before bringing it in if you're unsure if they'll be allowed.
That is crazy! Congrats on the find. Best I've gotten was a lot of 2 dollars with red seals and 2 morgans (two instances).... but no paper coins for me yet!
