    Correct. AE bronze; 15 shekels denomination. Tough coin to flip using your thumb before a football game. :)

    Transylvania’s first regular issue machine-struck Taler was issued by Sigismund Bathori in 1590. I think that by 1662 all the coins were machine struck, although a flan that size must have caused some challenges.

    LOL, These come up all the time... but who POSSESSES one in their collection?

    I would love to see the Abfil tray or the Saflip for this one.

    Really nice dragon there, like the Chinese coins from around 1900 AD. Here is a medal from Japan, huge, 111.86 grams, 59mm D. 3rd place winner in kendo match, Heisei year 13, (AD2001). Appears to be solid copper, lanyard ring cropped out. Zeno #331707.
