1999 State Quarter Improper Annealing?

    I found this going through pocket change. I initially thought it was simply environmental damage, but when I weighed it, the quarter weighed 5.4 grams Is this (bottom quarter) improperly annealed? 20191201_125054.jpg 20191201_125634.jpg 20191201_130002.jpg

    Improper annealing has nothing to do with the weight of a coin. That is simply environmental damage to the Cupro-Nickel clad surface.
