sry guys only picture I could get before guy took it back 1895 s Morgan he doesnt know about errors but should weigh what 26g and if real won't stick to magnetic correct? but if is looks like rpm? and strike through? what should i pay if real?
It's cleaned so $250 at max. Can I see the obverse? I do see some die cracks so maybe that could be DDD MM from the die being so worn. Just some die deterioration--if this was a fake they would make it much nicer, and probably a 95 P.
I'd like to see photos of the whole coin because something doesn't look right to me about this one and only photo. If this is all you have, I'd pass. What do you think @messydesk ? Chris
Very poorly executed counterfeit. Depression in field of coin indicates raised elements in field on die . . . not die clash Missing detail (see E in AMERICA) Raised pimples in numerous locations Lack of crispness for a coin retaining so much detail Complete absence of mint luster in protected areas for a coin retaining so much detail
I wouldn't pay more than $2.00 for that. (about what you would pay from the forty thieves web site) The disruptions you see are from an intentional die clash.
i i took the photo myself i was in process taking another and guy wantes back had to go to work he had 3 1895 1894 and 1903 i think
He saw that you wanted more photos, but he had to go to work. Yeah, right! How did you happen to meet this guy? Were you both standing in line at Starbucks and he asked if you wanted to see his Morgan? Chris
Something scream fake as soon as I saw the photo. I just wish I could see the entire coin, both sides but it's a fake to me.
