Looking for opinions on what the best resources available to start learning about VAM Morgan and Peace dollars. I already have the Breen Encyclopedia and the two Cherrypicker volumes. I'm sure VAM collectors have a favorite reference they know and trust.
If you're the type of person who likes to read and collect books about numismatics, then The Comprehensive Catalog and Encyclopedia of Morgan and Peace Dollars, Fourth Edition by Leroy Van Allen and A. George Mallis is a must-have for the collector of the old cartwheels. Despite the fact that it was last published in 1991 when there were about 1,800 listed VAM's and today there are about 4,000, the book is loaded with factual data that you won't find in most other publications about silver dollars.
