STAPLES OR TAPE?

Thanks physics-fan, flatten the staples is what everyone is telling me I should do so that's what I will do! Thanks for your advise too!

Yes Islander it is....Was....I rebuilt it after buying it from my brother...It was
featured in the magazine VW TRENDS .I will have to find the pic and show you...I had it for 7 years....Then sold it. I had moved to Pennsylvania, bought a triaxle dump truck and was super busy...I had no time to drive it anymore so I let it go
and sold it The Ct. license plate I had for it said " 2 WILD " cool huh?

 

@SmokinJoe- Oh man!!! That is GREAT!! We're both VW guys!!! I had a 66 bug I chopped up. I'll scan in some old pictures and post them. When I get them scanned in, I'll start a new VW thread and tag you. Unless there's already a VW thread out there somewhere?

I bought a flat crimp stapler from Wizard Supply and not only does it perfectly lay a flat crimp on the thing, but it's probably the best functioning stapler I've ever had, bar none.

Desertgem, last year I was looking for stainless steel staples all over the Internet and some local big box office stores and couldn't find any. Do you have a source or am I just internet-incompetent(I-squared)? I live in Florida so humidity is a major issue.
