With 45 guesses, CoinTalk put this coin at 64.47. PCGS CAC called it 64, so we pretty much nailed this one. However, a surprising 64% called it a 65 or higher. Even more interesting, we had guesses span from AU-55 to MS-67! This coin really had a lot of people confused. Part of that might be because the two sides are so different from each other. If I graded the sides independently, I'd probably call the obverse a 65, the reverse a 63. The obverse appears lustrous and reasonably well struck, with just a few minor contact marks. The reverse appears dull, and has quite a few tickmarks in the fields. While there is no wear evident, the dull fields on the reverse is probably what drove some graders to AU. This was a tricky coin to grade!
