? 1968 s ??? Weak/ no mint mark??? DDO???

    I don't think you have an "S" there. It could be just some old garbage that sat there where a mint mark would have been. The DDO I think part of it may be a hit and the other looks like it is very shelf like so I would say no to everything.

    I have had (and still do to this day) trouble differentiating between worthless doubling and real doubling. I'll give you a link that was given to me and is pretty useful. Another good suggestion is if you ever do find a coin that has some major die deterioration doubling or other worthless doubling, mark it, 2X2 it and reference it later. It will help.

    Your cent shows die deterioration doubling, which is not considered an error or true doubling as the die starts out normal , but as it is overused, the images spread towards the outside and makes it appear doubled. TRUST is a very bold sign of this effect. Jim
