    I know it's a fissure.. Which would be a defective planchet not a ragged clip.

    To me, it's a excellent example of a
    ragged end clip.

    Yes, the blank is defective, but it's the
    result of it being punched out from the
    ragged end (or beginning) of the copper
    strip.

    Learned something new as always. Never heard of a "fissure" except when my dog years ago had an anal one. Sweet coin!!!
