Yep, either win a mini lottery and get one directly from the mint, or pay through the nose to buy one from a middle man. With the advent of computers and the internet, middle man mark ups on modern US Mint coins and products is a dinosaur that needs to go extinct.

Just make sure you never do business with a dealer, and you'll be alright.

I wish Lamborghinis didn't cost so much. Afterall, it's just a car with 4 tires, an engine ect. The same as a hyundai...

    That's you guys :D

Lambos don't decrease in value, because of the limited supply. Same like this coin. Not everyone can have a lambo, same like this coin. If everyone could, it would be the hyundai and not many people would want it because it will depreciate.

Life isn't fair. You can't always get what you want. You get what you need.

Yes...racketeering! Add that to the scalping, price gouging, etc. list. Shameful.

I've seen several people in here talk about selling their coin for these crazy profits, even though they are very much against what I did. Can't you see if you sell your coin to a dealer, you are participating in the exact same thing???

If you sell to a person who is racketeering, price gouging, etc, then yes, you are part of the problem as well. How could you not be mad at the person you are selling to, but you are mad at me? Dealers are out there snapping these up for over a grand right now. Should you make sure the person you are selling to does not already have one? Should you ask to make sure THEY are the final collector, and they won't be flipping?

You're wasting your breath. There's some sour grapes and you won't change their minds. :)
Everyone's an adult. If they want to pay $1200 for your coin you should let them, and if you want to sell your coin for $2000 go for it. If people want it they will pay for it. If they think it's overpriced, it won't sell.
I don't agree that a 1909S VDB in MS66RD is like $8000 I think it should be 1 cent but hey, nobody with one will trade me for my 2019D cent fresh from a mint roll.
That's the breaks kid. Life is a series of disappointments lol.

I agree with your views as I've stated before. It is yours or anyone's right to do so.

What I don't agree with is your boisterous, gloating, rub it in your face attitude regarding your 'success'. There's no need for you to mention any of your actions here. You are well aware of the angst, and anger your actions cause. Why would you want to knowingly create the division on this forum that you have?

You've earned your share. Your friends and family earned their share. The TPG earned their share. The person you sold to earned their share. Take the gains and do whatever you want with them. Refrain from standing on the proverbial rooftop and screaming your conquest. Show a little humbleness and move on. No need to pour salt on the obvious open wounds here on CT.

In all honestly, I did not mean to create such strife here. Like I said, the last time there was a good flip, a bunch of us were posting about it here without people having meltdowns. On the PCGS forum, we are all having good, calm discussions about buying these. Talking about how many we got, ship order, comparing order numbers, etc. For example, out of the 15 coins I got, one box showed up with no tape, one showed up with two pieces of tape, and the rest came with one piece. It was split almost evenly between fat and thin boxes. They did not ship in order of order number. Etc Etc Etc. Lots of good info to share without anyone getting bent out of shape. If you go back and read my first post, it was a simple, excited, "I was able to get 15!". Nothing rude, boisterous, or in your face. But then some sour grapes start name calling, flinging mud, cussing in return. So to them, I am calling them out for their hypocrisy if they decide to engage in selling to flippers.

Mine arrived today! I was happy when they first announced this coin (before the mintage was announced) because I had passed up on the 2019-W since I thought the Pride of Two Nations set’s price was too steep. It really is a beautiful coin.
