    Wow. I'm glad for you. Nice choice. I hope the mint doesn't discontinue making them 3 cent nickels

    Anyone who doubts your statement needs only to examine the mintage figures for coins like the half dime; two cent pieces; three cent pieces. Imagine if there were a cent, nickel or dime with those numbers.

    Thanks for all the input. This has become much more of a debate than expected which is a good thing. By no means am I an expert on the subject, this is simply my loose opinion on the market as a whole when comparing low mintage figures. To me this is both fascinating and rewarding since I own several coins with less than 20,000 minted for the cost of those with much higher numbers. In short, availability versus collector ratio. Who knows? One day the market may turn towards Seated Liberty Dimes. Unlikely yet unpredictable.

    Never too old to learn something and old enough not to pout when corrected.
