This thing just about jumped through the loupe and smacked me it is so obvious...Got a couple cent rolls at the food store on the way home from work and I cant believe what I found. First one for me. And also holds true that nearly EVERY good find I have is DAMAGED!!!!! Aaarrrgggghhhh.....I dont care though, Im happy with a Monday afternoon 1984 FS-101 no matter what shape its in....Unless im wrong and this isnt what i think it is...lol
And mine is the Lincoln 1972 Dd FS-101.. Or even one of the others that show a nice spread...lol...cant find 1 to save my life..we all have a ghost we lookin for...lol....Have found a 1942/1 D Merc and now this as my 2 best error finds so far...Super excited...
I can’t bring myself to do it. I have searched close to $20k in cents looking. I can’t quit now. Will prolly die before I find it though lol.
Congrats on that find! It has some damage but better to have one with damage than not to have one at all.
No way, not a loss at all, Im in no way complaining, and its a rush finding these type of pieces thats hard to recreate. So Im good. With that said, I know theres a jokester in the outer universe that makes that bored little kid decide to take the wire cutters to a 1909 S cent rather than a 1917, or that metal head teenager decide to make a demon out of the indian on a 1913 S type 2 buffalo in really nice shape.. And then that jokester puts them in places for me to find them and ask why.....hahaha....Again, Im not whinin....Its just my thing...I find stuff, but usually damaged....hahaha...Thanks
Your spot on about that!!! Is a real eye opener especially when diving into the higher MS stuff how easy small scratches, dings etc can happen by no more than a cloth rubbing it yet can be seen and effect the value greatly...Its actually a miricle that many pieces are as NICE as they are when thinking of what they can go through.... Still wish the good pieces had damage protectors or somethin though till we find em!!! lol
