Well, another day at the bank and I ran across a couple of interesting notes. I set them all aside in my cash drawer in hopes that I could gain some insight on them here. Here is what I found: -series 1974 $100 note from the chicogo reserve in AU to uncirculated condition -series 1996 (if my memory serves me right) $100 star note in F to XF condition -series 1996 $50 note serial # AE 44333300 A prob in XF cond -series 2006 $50 note serial # 88223336 in XF to AU -series 2004A $50 note serial 00507777 in xf to AU Would any of these be worth picking up? Im pretty new to paper money collecting so any advice would be great. The 1974 $100 note looks great and ill prob grab it up but not sure about the others. Thanks everyone.
Well it would be difficult at best for any of us to advise you on what to do. That said, look for an area within the hobby that you would like to start and if it pleases you, well then start buying. All of our tastes are different as well as why we collect.....I am sure you will get several similar answers like this! Good luck and good hunting....buy some books and read first!! RickieB
Other than the 1974 $100, The only note that would interest me would be the 1996 $50. The others, no worth spending the money on.
Check which FRB that one's from. The AD..* $100 is quite scarce (only 160,000 printed) and might be worth a premium even in that grade. If it's from any other FRB besides D, then don't worry about it.
