Xperfectx Forgive me, I am new here and curious.

I noticed that a penny I came across looked rather peculiar, but I just couldn’t put my finger on it. A couple days later my girlfriend took the time to identify this 1969 S Lincoln Memorial Penny that weighs 3.1grams! We are very excited, and looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Welcome to the forum. I have to say though I am a bit confused. What do you feel is special about your coin? That is the normal weight for a 1969 s cent.

3.1g is what it is supposed to weigh...What makes you think it is special?

There is a '69-S Doubled Die that is worth a lot of money, but this is not it.

The Etsy listings have no basis in reality whatsoever. Yours is a normal 1969 s cent.

This. Etsy is in no way a respectable resource for buying coins or determining value of coins.

On Etsy there is always a big difference between "Listed Price" and actual "Value".

Understood. Well, thank you all for broadening my fundamental understanding of coin collecting errors (though elementary at the moment).

My girlfriend is throwing a tantrum at the moment, she is not please with the verdict. Lol

Anyway, back to hunting, knowing a little more and hungry for more.

    Cheers!

Good attitude (yours...not your girlfriend's lol). Stick around and learn a few things.

She probably wants you to take her out to dinner to make up for your mistake.

    A couple of finds today
I am wondering about the 94 cent here
That little space between the am. The fg has safets on the g also .what would that be ? A 93 error want on a 94 highly unlikely but the fg kinda backs up the lil gap the f is even with the edge of memorial too
