National Park State Quarter Bill

    Wow, another coin program proposed. This bill is intoduced by the same person that introduced the original state quarter bill. They are even considering an over sized version, like a 5 ounce maybe. I think they should make either a silver dollar or half dollar series. The quarters are so small, it's hard to view the coin details very well. I wonder what the cost is to purchase one each of every mint coin option for a year? A small fortune!:desk:

    and for the Grand Canyon the quarter will say "Refer to Arizona Quarter"

    Ditto for Yosemite (California) and Crater Lake (Oregon).

    they could just hit the az quarters with a hammer and call it meteor crater.

    GAG, I've hated 45 of the 50 state quarters designs, I can't imagine having to suffer through the next round of circulating "commemoratives"

    Except those denominations don't circulate. The 25c was chosen because it's the largest coin which everyone sees.

    The State Quarter program was a huge success. They should pause briefly (maybe 2-3 years), then do the National Park series. It's good for the hobby.
