Well, its back baby! I don't know exactely how, but remember this thread about the jelly-stained star note? - well I found it again. Perhaps luck or some divine destiny-driven intervention, I now own that star note. and remember, I found that note Thursday, and now its Sunday. here it is: See, here's what you have to know. Typically notes on top will be the first to go, and this note, oddly enough, I put on top of the stack when I finished looking at it - and then the manager came and took the tray. Notes on the bottom and middle usually stay there for a few days. I think what happened was, the star note made its way to the bottom when it was counted, and managed to survive 3 days without getting to the top - and thus being given in change. so what do you think? Think I can clean it off somehow? its a great note.
looks like grape. lol i just noticed, from it being scanned it looks like Washington's background is plaid.
according to this site: http://www.mycurrencycollection.com/reference/stars/1.php#2003 it looks like there were 10Mil printed in the G block. but only 640,000 in this Run? Is this correct, or am I doing it wrong?
nope your reading it correctly...640,000 in that run and going for about $35 in ch-cu condition...very good food!
nonono you DID read it right...lol...and honestly i would say it does loose premium but still about face..
ohhh whoops. lol haha yeah, I know it loses a premium. which is why I want to know if I can clean it off somehow.
i doubt it to be honest with you...and in my opinion i would just leave it alone...i wouldn't want to risk messing it up even more...you know?
Looks like Welch's Grape to me...LOL Thanks for posting the pic! Theodds of that coming back to you were slim to none!! Go play the lottery! RickieB
no problem I think the trick was, that it went to the bottom of the stack, and never actually left the store. but regardless, Im only 20 - so I cant play the lottery. lol
Try acetone. It gets rid of tape residue, so it might work on grape jelly. Don't ever lick a dollar bill... that's just gross! YUCK! lol
just a simple soap and warm water bath will suffice, although I never recommend bathing any note(I'm a PURIST, keep em' the way i find em') i can see the problem getting it in a holder without further spreading of the jam/jelly/stripper lube (THAT'S WHY you NEVER lick a dollar......):goofer: and since it is not uncirculated........ i guess it's ok:whistle: NEVER use caustic chemicals on paper!!:desk: hope this helps!
bubble bath eh? that doenst sound too bad right about now. Think a rubber ducky will help? but seriously, should I use paper towel or something to wipe it off?
