    Hello,
My daughter went to Thailand and brought back some circulated coins. I noticed one coin has what appears to be doubling. What is unusual to me is where the doubling is. Any opinions?

    Thanks all!

hmm interesting probably the lettering gets stamped at a later time in the process. however i doubt if there is a market for this kind of errors

Looks like a doubled die from here.

Distorted hub doubling from a SEVERELY distorted hub? That is a LOT of spread in the two images and it is all outward from the center all the way around the coin. It isn't a case of the hub shifting to one side or the other. The entire hub has shifted outward.

Possibly modified design hub doubling where the ldesign on one hub had the legend placed further out than on the other?
