    Alas Joe, no I did not. At that time I was newly married and on a tight budget. I didn't get my next gold untill '86....Statue of Liberty...proof and Unc. Went the whole 9 yards with that one (cherry wood box and all). My dream is to one day get a $20 St. Gaudens but, as you know, we've discussed the possibility of a high relief issue from the US Mint maybe coming out next year. Still, a classical St. Gaudens...hm...maybe if I come accross the right one. Haven't yet.

    Going only by the reverse, it looks uncirculated. The obverse shows a number of dings and the hair beneath LIBERTY looks worn. However, could that be a mushy strike? Dunno.
