If I could do this.......I'd quit my day job. I get from $200 - $250 when I sell my bags, WOW http://cgi.ebay.com/5000-WHEAT-PENN...ryZ11944QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
The seller acts as if they never heard of a wheat cent before, or a "penneie". All these bag stories sound awfully similar.
All I know is I have tried 2 or 3 or these so called unsearched bags (not at that price though) and only have found 1 that was worth the money and I only bought 3 pounds. (or about 540 pennies) By the time I realized the guy had truly unsearched bags they were gone. Plus I have a local dealer who has 3 or 4 of us who buy wheat pennies from him regularly. So he has a seperate bucket for us when someone who he does not know comes in sells off a collection and another bucket for those we have already gone through. He never lets us pick through what the others have already gone through because he knows we are all down to about the same wheats to find.
This must be a legit offer. It meets the two acid tests: 1) it was a bag from his grandfather and 2) he knows nothing about Lincolns because he collects something else.
Someday someone is going to buy one of these where the grandfather did exist and the seller really does not know what he has
I had a bag end a few hours after that and it only ended at $235. My bag was nice to as I threw in a bunch of BU 50s.
