Hi folks, A few weeks ago I responded to a thread posted by a CoinTalk member who was selling some coins from Spain. After PM back and forth he made a great deal with me on some other world coins, stamps and postcards. I told him that my daughter was interested in my coin collecting and was hoping to get some neat items to share with her. What he sent me was amazing! 100's of world coins, 100's of world stamps and a few postcards from Spain which is one of my favorite countries. This member is @doug5353 ... I want to thank him for everything that he sent me and the better opportunity that I have to share it all with my kids.. my son likes the collection also
wow, that's awesome ....i salute you doug5353! and cool that you have a bright young lady to share your hobby with p98! when i break out my coin collection....my kids run for the hills!
Very nice of Doug, looks like alot of fun to go through. I miss stamps. I still buy the cheap u.s. stuff from the 50s or so now and then.
Wow, that was nice! A fun mix. The coin from Andorra, by the way, is a FAO issue. Quite possibly bought for a collection before, since the Andorran pre-euro coins were not minted for circulation ... Christian
What an education for your daughter! I hope that Doug5353's collection will inspire her to always look outside of her environment for further opportunities. Doug5353 is certainly a teaching CT member. @Paddyman88 You may want to challenge yourself and also provide your daughter with a wonderful education of Spain ---- Try walking any part of the Camino de Santiago. My picture to the left is from my pilgrim endeavor on the Camino. I walked from the French Basque country (St. Jean Pied de Port) to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia. I even stop into a few coin stores in the larger cities along the way to buy a coin or two as a memento of my journey.
