I would have thought the price would drop also but it's rising. Since presales, almost 3000 have sold on ebay, 252 sold for over $750. Close to 2500 sold between $350 and $750.

I'm thinking there will be a drop of some sort more distance between PR69 and raw since they are quite close in prices, but I'm not sure if the PR69 will just go up instead and the raw doesn't drop...

I agree it wasn't well advertised that he signed the first 100 numbers COA''s and PCGS isn't really promoting that aspect either with their COA grading but I do think it has to become a factor at some point if people end up doing it or even just a few do it and wind up with a certified hand signed COA to go along with a PR70 in a matched set.

Kind of an unkown if there's a market for something like that beyond just a PR70 coin.

I'm kind of blown away by this whole thing really. My point was that grading is going to cost a bit, but I don't really see this coin bing less than $300 in a PR69 from where I'm sitting today. I think if you bought at $65.95 it's probably worth the grading fees of $100 or so all said and done, to maybe get a PR70 back or at least a PR69 that's still selling for $600-$800.

I just looked up a Baltimore show PR70 first strike that was listed for $3900 BIN that sold and someone paid $3500 for it. Yeah I think the grading might be worth the cost on this one.

I've had my card "charged" a few times, and canceled for various reasons. If it switches from a pending charge to one that has gone through, you should be good though.

You'll get a few ppl trying to flip the sale as quickly as possible thus driving up short term pricing.

I had that with the Congrats ASE. Dealers bought a batch and went to flip them immediately.

After a short while the price pressure is too much and it'll pop and start to fall. The "question" at hand is how many ppl have that much disposable income to buy them at those price levels.

  5. Mine is on the way. This was by accident because i didnt even know this coin was coming out untili looked at my i-pad and saw Pinehurst coins was offering $150.00 plus the cost of the coin & shipping. I'm only into gold, Figured i try for it and got it. The problem with these coins even if it's only 30k minted is a possibility of getting milky spots on these as time goes by. Figured i get my money on it and buy a piece of gold. Good luck to everyone that was able to get one.

I got one as well; I tried to use my stored Discover card, but finally opted to use an alternate card - that made a big difference. I must have hit reload 30 times in the process! Persistence paid off - honestly it was a huge adrenalin rush! Once you get it in the cart; you are safe for a while. I did some reading and the Baltimore Show release is selling in the $4k-$5k range apparently; I assume 70's. I always thought a direct Govt release should be worth more - wonder who made all the profit on those $65 coins! The raw coins are up in price by over 1000% already. I've struggled with the grading idea too, and Ive decided that for a $65 coin, its worth taking a shot at getting a 70. Either way; the value of it is gonna go thru the roof no matter what you do with it. It'll be a nice little set to leave to a child. I know the Early Releases/First Releases don't mean much; but to spend the extra $10 to have it...why not - esp with this one. Someone said "buy the coin not the label"; I agree, 99.9% of the time. Will it help the value; nah...but it looks cool! Im just ga-ga that I got one! I never win anything! I am wondering exactly how many the mint sold thru the website; certainly not the entire 30K mintage.

When I looked at this coin, it had the "Remind Me" saying it isn't available. Does that mean they might release another block of the coin. I did buy the Pride of Two Nations Set. It has the ASE Enhanced Reverse Proof coin, except from the West Point Mint. I guess if a coin is a limited set, it makes it more valuable. The Mint knew that going in, and so did many of us.

I bought that set too, quite late too; I thought it was a sell out (actually I just looked and it is SOLD OUT). But the Limited Edition Silver Set is still readily available; says there is no mintage limit...so I would guess they will keep selling as long as people buy. I think they did that with the 2019 Congrats Set; which I always thought is a sham (tho I still buy one lol). If they make more of these now (2019-ase-rp), it'll just deflate the price; I would think. Any coin to me is worth whatever the owner wants it to be worth. I have some I'd be hard pressed to part with; unless someone was being very generous!

No not another "block" . each day they are releasing the coins that are declined cards in processing, or bad shipping info, or people that ordered multiples and got caught, or miscounts of inventory. Each day at 7:30AM EST sharp, they open it up to sell what hasn't been sold yet, this morning it lasted for about 10 seconds. This will keep going until they mark it as sold out.

it's going to be really hard to get one of the few remaining though if you try it. this morning it was literally available to order again for like 10 seconds. Sat, Sun Mon, were the same but I think Sat. was almost a minute. Friday was the good day to try it, it was open for sales for about 5 minutes.

Every day at 7:30AM EST sharp until it's marked "sold out".

If ungraded, it would be tough to say what the grade is, so ???
As for raw, I'm guessing they'll be $400-$600 in a few months. After that ???

As a guess.. in 3 months from now I'd think raw around $550
    PR69 Edging close to $1000
    And PR70 around $2000

I think the raw will drop and the PR69 will go up instead. I think the 70s will come down as more are graded PR70 from where they sell at now.

I'm thinking this issues PR70 will fall in line with the raw 1995W value roughly and the rest will adjust down accordingly from there.
Just my speculation of course. Anything g could happen. Christmas is around the corner and people are shopping for loved ones. This could spend another month of spiking on the secondary market for all I know and the ladies going stupid for something special for their husbands that like coins. Lol with their money of course!

As long as the gap between raw and 69 greatly exceeds the cost of grading, and as long as there aren't too many reports of grades lower than 69, I think raw and 69 prices will continue to converge. If it develops that the TPGs are giving more 70s than 69s, raw unopened coins may exceed 69s, at least for a bit.

No because there can be more than 30K people with them in their carts. Until you checkout and pay for it, someone can buy it out from under you. Many people learned this to their dismay. They got it in their cart but checkout crashed and they had to keep reloading, and when they finally got through they still had it in their cart but it was no longer available.

My order number says (processing) but no email from them and they did pull out today the 70.90 for the coin. like the above when I have it hand I know for sure. If so I sending it in to get graded, the first coin I have tried. If I figure out how to do correctly.
