Nothing to fix.....I Was referring to this: "I have always struggled with the chance that I might not know it all.... Fortunately I have a spouse that does."
Picked up a couple gold libs at Whitman today. Liberty Dollar 1853 NGC MS63 I liked this example because the obverse is semi-PL and the bust has some nice frost. Couldn't quite pick it up with my camera phone, but I liked the eye appeal. Liberty Half Eagle 1907 NGC MS63 This one was in an older NGC slab with an early serial number. I think it would regrade as a 63+/64.
This arrived the other day and I'm just having a hard time getting good images. In hand it appears to be semi PL, nice inexpensive coin. As a salesman I never had anything cheap but could offer an inexpensive alternative. I used my old camera, my new camera, my phone and then just for the heck of it my old Epson scanner.
Coin show today - walked away with this 1798 cent. Not as nice as I would want but still a nice historical piece. And all I could afford in this year!
Do my local coin show today, picked up a bunch of stuff. My favorite is this PCGS gold shield 1921 dime in AG-03. I paid $20 for it, and couldn't be happier. I find it kind of funny that somebody paid for the gold shield Service as well as true views.
Those Are Very Those are Very Nice! 20 Years ago, came a cross a few,,,, I was in my early 20's , The Five dollar Gold pieces were $100 each in 1995
I got salty that I didn't get the 2019-W reverse proof ASE. As the coin show, I picked this up to make me feel better.
Coin show pickups. I have a fascination for the 1853 arrows and rays design. And this one was my big pickup. Fell in love at first sight. PCGS XF-40. And finally, I got a call saying I won the grand prize in the raffle. $15 well spent.
Nice coins, great raffle win and particularly nice pickup on the A+R quarter. While a common date these are harder to find with nice eye appeal and a complete strike than they seem, I’m guessing because it is essential to a standard US type set.
