What would cause this edge deformation on this zinc cent?

Edge is very thick and has a raised ring on the outer edge. Not 2 coins glued together.
What caused this?

Can you show the inside of the ring? How does the top motto of the coin appear?

 

Maybe inserted in a holder of jewelry. Let see more photos of it. The front and back. Could be a misaligned die ?

Railroad rim/partial collar? I would have expected the coin to have more damage. Jim

 

Damaged after minting. Note on the obverse how the tim had been crushed down into the lettering. A partial collar strike can give an edge appearance like that but the rim would still be the normal distance from the lettering. So one side hasn't expanded out over the collar, instead one side has been crushed in.
