Haha you may have been off more than on in your guesses but you made up for it in hilarious wit and reckless confidence :D:hilarious:. Plus your fantastic contributions to the threads meant you earned among the highest number of chances. The banter and fun are more important than correct guesses to a game like this.

CoinTalk wouldn’t be the same without you brother. A well earned prize!

Thanks to @Ryro and @Orielensis for being top notch participants AND generous benefactors!

Thanks to @Curtisimo for organizing the contest, I had fun participating. A fair number of you were able to guess my coin, but I was able to fool quite a few people. Most of the time I was confused for @dougsmit, which makes sense given that our collecting interests and "eye" for coins overlap quite a bit. Also props to @TIF, who not only correctly guessed my coin but also explained her reasoning very clearly. So now I know how to disguise my entry in next year's contest...

I better see you post one heck of a coin after AMCC 3 or I’m calling a big stinky pile of BS :troll::p:D

You are awesome my friend. Glad to see you win a prize and that is very cool of you to offer to match!

I just made my donation to All Hands and Hearts on behalf of Ancient Aussie and his pick for Prize #5!

Okay so that leaves @Collect89 up next to pick a prize.

Prize #2 and Prize #3 are still up for grabs!

Well, I didn't expect to have gotten that many right but I followed my first instinct this time as I generally tend to overthink it. Congrats to all the prize winners and if you'll remind me next year I will indeed put up a prize for The Perfect Winner.

I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your spectacular animated headers for each round and really just to say thank you for taking the time and effort to put together this game, and the others you've done, as it really helps build the community, keeps the place lively, and they're fun!
@Ancient Aussie may have said it best:

In your honor Curtis, a most heartfelt thanks

Thank you my friend! What a super nice gesture to boot. It gets said a lot on the ancients board how we have so many awesome members but I think it bears repeating here. There are not very many places online that you will find a group with so many genuinely nice people. I'm please to have made some good friends here and I'm always happy to run these kinds of games to try and keep the participation levels up!

As to your score... Perfect or not you set the bar now for the game. No one else has guessed more than 3 correctly in either the 2017 or 2019 game! Nicely done.

I must say though, in general people did much better this year than the last. There was some very astute observations by some of the players.

Thanks for mentioning my little cartoons btw! I had some fun making those. Especially the one where Aculeo the Legionaire pops Aric the Barbarian's balloon. Yes I named them.:D

If you would have mentioned it during the game I would have given you an extra chance per round like I did with @Johndakerftw for recognizing the Duck Hunt reference in the master thread OP!

It seems as though @Collect89 might he out of pocket at the moment. I don’t think he would mind if we went ahead and let @CoinBlazer make his pick between Coin #2 and Coin #3 while we wait.

So @CoinBlazer ... what will it be?

Coingrats! Please PM me your address and this Hadrian will be traveling to your place:
    80EDF1FB-69F7-4BBE-AE71-6D1CE1B526F1.png
    HADRIAN
117-138 AD. AR Denarius (17mm, 2.89gm). Struck 134-138 AD. Head right / Egypt reclining against basket left, holding sistrum, ibis at feet. RIC II 297; RSC 99.
    Ex-Savoca
This coin commemorates Hadrian's visit to Egypt in 130-131 AD. It was while Hadrian was on tour in Egypt that his favorite, Antinoüs, "mysteriously" drowned in the Nile. So great was the emperor's grief that he commanded a series of religious rituals to be performed in the young man's honor, and, on the site where the body was recovered, Hadrian ordered the construction of a city called Antinöopolis in honor of the young man.

@Collect89 - your prize is a choice of any item from my Pick Bin list. (Allow that link a few moments to load.)

Let me know what catches your fancy, if anything. It need not necessarily be an ancient coin- anything on the list is fair game. I also have some books (of non-numismatic but historical nature) and more coins that have not made it onto the list yet.

Actually, if you want multiple items, you may take a $25 credit towards any combination of things on that page.

Then just send me your shipping address in a PM.

    Regards,

    Robertson ("Rob") Shinnick, aka "LordM"

This is definitely a lucky game and lucky choosing for me! I had a 1.7% chance of winning and somehow I won! I love Roman and Egyptian history and this combines both of them with a significant Roman Emperor. Special thanks to @Curtisimo for the game, @Ryro for the coin and many more thanks to all the members of the Ancients Forum who educated me on this numismatic endeavor. Again, I appreciate it all and have a great week!
