PCGS is ready with new gimmick for these. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/pc...ers-for-enhanced-rp-ase-coin-and-cert.350070/ 1 hour till release...
That's insane ....if it costs $70 per coin, given that it will hit hands within a few days/weeks, the most it should cost would be about a 100% premium or $150.
The prices quoted for pre-sales for this product are ridiculous. It's a coin that they can release again in the near future...we've already HAD reverse enhanced proofs for the Silver Eagle. It's the entire 30,000 limit which is causing the problem. If it was 150,000 I bet the premiums are a fraction of what is being cited.
When the Household limited 5 piece AS Anniversary set came out I found if unbelievable how many you can get. One guy sent me a picture of his home office. He had hundreds of sets stacked up on the floor. They bankroll as many people as they can and make deals with them to buy for them. These coins are manufactured for the sole purpose of the enrichment of a few. And the mint is a big participator.
I got the error page after hitting "submit order", but it looks like I got an Order Acknowledgement email. We'll see whether a confirmation follows. I didn't make it through until 12:02, which may well have been too late.
I can't tell you how many times I saw "Oops...Something went wrong" but I finally got it to go, I even got my confirmation email at 12:07.
Yeah, the government can administer a Wealth Tax.......%#^&$#*$*#%!% website can't even handle a surge from a small niche group of Americans !!! COME ON !!!! What are they using, one of those modems from the early-1990's !!!??
Well, it took a lot of refreshing and patience...but I suppose I'm one of the lucky ones who got through (order confirmed and card charged.) Don't hate me (some will anyway) but I'm absolutely going to flip it (assuming I actually get it.)
The site was so tied up, that's a lot sooner than I got through. I kept hitting refresh over & over. Had to enter all CC info even though it's on file.
