I have some rolls of avg circulated wheaties with coins from the 40's and 50's. Anyone know the going rate for a wheatie?

coin shop arond here will give 1.5c to 2c ea. and sells rolls for $3 each. Now ebay, that may be a different story. All depends on your marketing, although after fees/time involved probably less.

  4. You can generally get a random roll for $3-4 a peice. The best way to find wheaties if you have the time is to roll search.:thumb:

rollsearching averages has been 1 every 2.5 rolls for me. 2day only 5 in $25 worth. Maybe ask friends and neighbors if U can search their cans, jars etc.

Expect to get anywhere from a $1 (dealer)-$3 I'd say. I see them average $2-$3 a roll, depending on the quantity.

My local dealer pays 3¢ a piece for them and you can buy them for less than 6¢ each from Bud (and you get some extras with that). That should pretty well limit the range.

I sold two boxes(2.500 each) for 3¢ per coin earlier this year. We got to where we had exhausted the hoard by trying to fill three Whitmans, so there was no point in keeping the extras. Now I need to do the same with all my pre-1970 British coins, which I have in 40 kilogramme bags.
