End, are full photos of your bills available ? I only see 1/2 the bill in the photo above and earlier shots.
Light Green Seals: I purchased these a few months ago but didn't post them in this thread, I think it was an LGS thread. Hope it's OK to post them here, too. Love the LGS seal color; could be my favorite color though I like the Red Seals inscription. You know, I really never even knew all the different seal colors that U.S. Currency had until I started collecting. I mean, I never noticed or read about it. I think the only one I was aware of was the Gold Certificate seal, which is why I always wanted one.
Yes! I love light green seals also. I love all the colors actually. It's true how not many people are aware of all the different ink colors and types. I remember as a kid seeing a silver certificate on a couple occassions but didn't know it was a silver certificate.
Yup, never paid attention to it. Just focused on the words SILVER CERTIFICATE. I guess there are Green, Dark Green, Light Green, Gold, Yellow, Brown, Red, and Blue. Did I miss any ?
Those look pretty circulated to me... The miracle is that they stayed together in spite of the circulation
I bought this recently as Christmas gift for my younger son. We live in Portland, Maine area (right next door actually), so I thought it was special. Since I know very little about currrency, I am hoping you guys can tell me what the "reprint" means. I think it was like a second printing, but would love the real explanation. And if you guys haven't visited Maine, I highly recommend you make it a point to visit Portland.
Not sure, but I would guess that perhaps the note was reprinted with the original plates sometime after the actual bank went obsolete
